MELEDAK! DUGAAN PENGGELAPAN UPAH DI BALI — Rp 15,5 JUTA “LENYAP”, KONTRAKTOR BUNGKAM TOTAL!
EXPLOSIVE! ALLEGED WAGE EMBEZZLEMENT IN BALI — Rp 15.5 MILLION “DISAPPEARS,” CONTRACTOR REMAINS COMPLETELY SILENT!
Bali, Wednesday, April 15, 2026 — An alleged wage embezzlement scandal has once again tarnished the construction sector in Bali. A worker from Pasuruan, East Java, claims he has not received his rightful payment of Rp 15,500,000 after completing a swimming pool project handled by CV Bali Baraindo Sarana.
Ironically, when contacted by journalists from Fakta Expost News on April 15, 2026 via WhatsApp, JR, the company’s President Director, chose to remain completely silent—offering no clarification, no goodwill, as if the issue were not his responsibility.
This silence is not merely unprofessional—it reinforces suspicions of deliberate misconduct in labor practices: workers are allegedly used until the project is completed, only for their wages to be “swallowed” without any clear explanation.
The victim, Suniman, a man from Pasuruan, stated that since the project was completed, he has been unable to contact the company.
“Since I finished the pool project, I’ve had difficulty reaching JR. I hope I’m the only victim. There must not be others. I urge the authorities to act firmly,” Suniman stated.
He also warned the public to be cautious when choosing contractors who lack commitment to their workers.
“For those planning to build or renovate, please be more careful. Don’t go through what I did. This company has shown no responsibility toward its workers,” he added.
SERIOUS LEGAL VIOLATIONS SUSPECTED
This case is far from trivial. If proven, the actions may violate:
Law No. 13 of 2003 on Manpower, as amended by Law No. 6 of 2023 on Job Creation, particularly regarding the obligation to pay workers’ wages.
Article 93 paragraph (2), which affirms that workers are entitled to wages for work already performed.
Article 185 of the Manpower Law, which provides for criminal sanctions for violations of workers’ normative rights.
Furthermore, if intent is established, it may fall under Article 372 of the Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP) on embezzlement, carrying potential imprisonment.
In other words, this is not merely a breach of contract—it potentially constitutes a criminal offense.
STRONG ULTIMATUM: DO NOT TEST THE LAW
With this case coming to light, law enforcement authorities in Bali, the Manpower Office, and licensing agencies are urged not to remain idle.
OPEN ULTIMATUM:
CV Bali Baraindo Sarana must IMMEDIATELY settle the outstanding wages owed to the victim without conditions.
If no resolution is reached promptly, criminal legal action and formal reports will be pursued openly and on a large scale.
Authorities are urged to conduct a full audit of the company located at Jalan Kori Nuansa Utama Timur VII No. 2, Taman Griya, Jimbaran, South Kuta, Bali.
If left unchecked, this is not just about one victim—it could represent a systematic pattern that may claim more victims.
PUBLIC WARNING
This case serves as a serious warning to the public:
do not place trust without a clear track record.
One wrong choice in selecting a contractor can lead to losses—not only financially, but also impacting the livelihoods of workers behind your project.
The state must not lose to deceitful practices.
The law must not bow to inaction.
And workers must not continue to be victims.
